Quality Policy

Quality Policies and Programmes

HIL’s quality initiative is designed to improve the experience of our customers through continuous improvements in our products, best-in-class service delivery and sustainable business practices.

“Five Way Green” Philosophy

Green raw materials (with a low carbon footprint) → Green manufacturing process (with zero effluents and emissions) →Green energy profile (30% from renewable sources) → Zero byproducts → Green products (suitable for reuse and recycling)

Quality Policy

HIL ensures that its products and services meet stated standards on time, every time. We have a formal policy document that lays out our quality commitments.

TOTAL PRODUCTIVE MAINTENANCE (TPM)

We have implemented TPM in 3 manufacturing units to help us improve operational efficiencies and achieve optimum utilization of existing resources. Additionally, we have achieved ISO:9000, CE and TUV certifications for our Aerocon C-Board.

HIL INNOVATION PROCESS (HIP)

This is a structured process to facilitate continuous generation of new ideas and develop new products and processes at HIL.

ENERGY CONSERVATION MANAGEMENT (ECM)

ECM is a process HIL has initiated to conserve and optimize the use of energy. Installation of energy-efficient blowers, vacuum pumps, backwater pumps and other equipment in existing plants together with efficient lighting system and modernized mechanical devices and systems have contributed to lower usage of power and fuel.

COVETED CERTIFICATIONS

We are certified with ISO 9001 : 2015 for most of our manufacturing units. We are also BIS certified with respect to our commodity products.

ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH & SAFETY (EHS)

We give highest priority to safety, employee wellness and environmental protection. We also place special emphasis on promoting green building products in and around the work place. HIL has also rolled out low-cost pollution control systems suitable for the fibre cement industry, and state-of-the-art health surveillance for employees. It is therefore no surprise that our technical experts have been invited to advise the government on regulatory and other matters.
